Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 April 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of V.A.U.L.T., including the website, accounts, household features, issue tracker, support tools, and any related services made available through the platform.
By creating an account, accessing the service, or continuing to use V.A.U.L.T., you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who operates the service
V.A.U.L.T. is operated independently by the owner of the service and is not run by a limited company. If you need to contact the operator about these Terms, your account, or the service generally, email admin@vault-finance.online.
3. What the service is
V.A.U.L.T. is a household finance organisation and planning platform. It allows users to manage shared and personal records such as bills, savings pots, mortgage information, one-off payments, statement-style entries, support or issue tickets, and related planning information.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, V.A.U.L.T. is provided as a digital organisational tool and not as a banking, payment, lending, brokerage, insurance, tax, legal, or regulated financial service.
4. Eligibility and account registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms and using the service in your jurisdiction.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account, unless you have promptly reported unauthorised use or a security issue.
5. Account security
You agree to:
- use a strong password and keep it confidential;
- not share your account with another person unless the service expressly allows that;
- notify us promptly if you believe your account, email, or household access has been compromised;
- not attempt to bypass authentication, gain unauthorised access, or interfere with other users, households, or systems.
6. Household workspaces and shared data
V.A.U.L.T. allows users to create and join shared household workspaces. If you invite someone to a household or accept an invite, you understand that authorised members may be able to view, edit, or manage shared household data according to the design of the service and any applicable permissions.
You are responsible for inviting appropriate people and for checking the shared data you add to a household. You should only share a household with people you trust to view or work with the information stored there.
7. User content and responsibility for data
You remain responsible for the information, files, notes, screenshots, financial figures, household records, and other content you upload, enter, or share through V.A.U.L.T.
You must ensure that your content is lawful, accurate to the extent reasonably possible, and that you have the right to upload or share it. You must not upload anything that is fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, malicious, or designed to interfere with the service.
8. Licence to operate the service
As between you and V.A.U.L.T., you keep ownership of the content you submit. However, you give V.A.U.L.T. a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to host, copy, process, store, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, back up, support, and improve the service.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use V.A.U.L.T. to:
- break the law or assist unlawful conduct;
- harass, threaten, abuse, deceive, or impersonate others;
- upload malware, harmful code, or exploit scripts;
- probe, scan, attack, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure except where the law expressly permits and cannot be excluded;
- attempt to access data, households, accounts, or admin tools without authorisation;
- use the service to store or distribute content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
- misuse support or issue tracker features, including by submitting knowingly false, abusive, or spam reports.
10. Financial and legal disclaimer
V.A.U.L.T. is an organisational and planning tool only. It does not provide financial advice, investment advice, mortgage advice, tax advice, legal advice, credit broking, lending decisions, or any other regulated professional service.
You are responsible for checking the accuracy of your figures, household entries, statements, projections, and decisions. You should seek independent professional advice where needed.
11. Support, issue tracking, and communications
V.A.U.L.T. may provide issue tracking, support, and service communications. We may contact you by email or through the service regarding account security, verification, password resets, invitations, support tickets, and important operational notices.
We may review support and issue submissions where reasonably necessary to investigate bugs, protect users, enforce these Terms, or maintain the integrity of the platform.
12. Availability, changes, and beta-style risk
We may add, change, suspend, remove, or restrict features at any time. We do not promise that V.A.U.L.T. will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or free from defects.
You acknowledge that online services may experience downtime, maintenance windows, bugs, delays, or data loss events despite reasonable efforts to avoid them.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to all or part of the service if:
- you breach these Terms;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, or a security risk;
- we are required to do so by law or by a lawful request from a competent authority;
- it is necessary to protect the service, infrastructure, users, or data.
You may stop using the service at any time. Account deletion or household deletion features may be subject to confirmation, notice, or retention of limited records for legal, security, or operational reasons.
14. Intellectual property
The V.A.U.L.T. name, branding, visual design, software, code, layouts, text, graphics, and other service materials are owned by or licensed to V.A.U.L.T. unless otherwise stated and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Except as allowed by law or expressly permitted by us in writing, you may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the service or its contents beyond normal personal use of the platform.
15. Third-party services
V.A.U.L.T. may rely on third-party infrastructure, hosting, email, storage, security, analytics, or other service providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content outside our control, although we may use them to operate the platform.
16. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, V.A.U.L.T. is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or suitable for your specific purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or purely economic losses, including loss of profits, savings, data, goodwill, opportunity, or business interruption arising from or connected with use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow exclusion.
17. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is collected, used, and handled.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, law, security requirements, or operational needs. The latest version will be published on this page. By continuing to use V.A.U.L.T. after updated Terms take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you additional rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a dispute arises, please contact admin@vault-finance.online first so we have a fair chance to resolve it informally.
